A culture of Belonging

What would it be like to grow up in a culture where being, becoming and belonging were not things we had to earn, but conditions we could trust?

A culture where we no longer need to wonder:

• Will I still belong if I am myself?

• Can I belong without needing to prove my worth?

• Can I belong without needing to give away parts of myself?

What if this is a culture that emerges naturally when we remember what it really means to be human?

Through my own journey of discovering more of who I am, and through witnessing the journeys of others, I have come to recognize some fundamental human needs:

The need to be.

The need to become.

The need to belong.

Imagine…

Being born into a culture where you already belong.

Coming into an environment where you feel safe to be yourself. Where you know that you are a valued member of this planet and of the human family. Where you are held, cared for, and reassured that nothing you could be could threaten love and connection. Where everyone and everything has your back and is invested in you being fully you.

Imagine growing up knowing that you are enough.

Experiencing that there is nothing you need to do, and nothing you need to change, to earn your right to be here or to be worthy of love.

Feeling acknowledged, seen, celebrated, and received—with all that comes with being human.

Imagine being fully supported as you continuously discover and become more of your essence, without having to give up who you are to be worthy of love or to feel safe.

Imagine living in a culture that is curious about who you are.

A culture that nurtures your potential.

That welcomes your unique gifts and talents.

That creates space for you to discover your deeper purpose and live a fulfilling life.

Imagine living this way.

This culture is possible.

It is possible because it is a natural expression of who we are.

It is a culture our hearts already know and long for.

A culture that honors three fundamental rights:

The right to Be

Our sense of worth comes from who we are. What we do does not determine our worth; it is a natural expression of our being, the unique expression of Life’s creativity through each of us.

The right to Become

We support each other’s remembrance of our essence. We create and nurture conditions for each human soul to flourish and offer their unique gifts in service to the whole. We cherish and value all gifts and support the possibility of a fulfilling life for all.

The right to Belong

We belong because we are expressions of the same Life, part of one human family. We nurture relationships and conditions in which human beings do not have to choose between belonging and being who they are.

This is the culture I am committed to nurturing, inside myself and in relationship with others.

This is the culture I want every being to be born into.
