Resilience, capacity to meet, process and integrate life experiences in a way that brings growth and learning

There is a lot happening in the world and the pace and amount of change, coupled with our individual experiences, can be overwhelming.

When we feel overwhelmed, life's natural and intelligent response to protect us is to go into survival mode. In this state, our body becomes stressed, our perspective is reduced and we respond in one of 3 ways: fight, flight or freeze. This response is appropriate for a short period of time, while we have the space to process the situation that induced it. When we can´t process and integrate the experience, the response becomes a chronic state from which our experience of life becomes increasingly limited, stressfull, isolated and disconnected.

Expanding the capacity to meet, process and integrate life as it unfolds, is one of the most loving and caring things we can do for ourselves and for others.

This internal capacity allows us to:

  • Be present with what is happening

  • In tune with our inner experience and in connection with the world

  • Access the resources to respond from wisdom and compassion rather than from reactivity.

In this area I offer group containers to explore the implications of living in a world in transition, delve into the foundational elements of resiience and explore practices to expand our inncer capacity to navigate the tension and grow through the experience.

Themes that are explored:

  • A world in transition: the tension of the time we live in is an invitation to align with the emergence of a civilization that embodies who we truly are: One life expressed through diversity.

  • Trust in life: open up to recognize the intelligence of the process we are going through and to flow with it with compassion and empowerment.

  • Cultivate and nurture the relationship with your Soul: connect with the true source of love, wisdom, power and cretivity that these times call for.

  • Attunment to your inner experience - be aware of your capacity to meet life experiences; know your limitations and respect your boundaries.

  • Regulation - expand the capacity to come back to center and to open up inner space to hold, process and integrate life experiences:

    • The role of the body in our capacity to be resilient

    • Creating and holding safe inner space to explore and process emotional states

    • Relational field: the gift of co-regulation
